Fire is released back into the night sky with paper lanterns escaping from a minimalist pagoda. Soft sounds from the four elements waif down from above, as forest goers take a moment to themselves under the glow of gently swaying globes.
About the Creator
After graduating from the Evergreen State College with a B.A. in visual arts, Tor Clausen became the in-house photographer/designer for the regional design firm, Whitney Design. From 1988-present, freelancing under the name TorStudios, commercial clients included T-mobile, Ballet Northwest and the Department of Fish & Wildlife, as well as hundreds of local and location weddings. He has photographed in all corners of the country and continues to seek far away adventure.
Product design and music have always been a passion. Both are found in his very successful Musical Furnishings line. Designing, fabricating and marketing these instruments has resulted in happy clients all around the world. A recent collaboration with the design firm BBDO in Brazil has opened his work to new uses and audiences – winning his project a Cannes Lion award in 2014. Born and raised in Seattle, Tor currently resides in Portland, OR.
