Created as an artistic spinoff of our Seven Lions “Prism,” tour visuals project, Cosmotion combines video projection and still life artwork. The piece is comprised of three oil paintings, suspended in the air on floating panels. On the flip side of each panel is a live action cinematic that inspired each painting.

Andrea Tomoe Sharples is a contemporary surrealist painter of the imagination. Her love of visual expression began as a child watching classic animated movies. At four years old, her family would watch as Andrea drew characters from Charlotte’s Web and the Little Mermaid in detail. When asked to describe herself in second grade using only two words for a homework assignment, Andrea told her mother she was “a warrior and an artist”. Andrea studied Telecommunication and Film at California State University and received her bachelor’s degree in 2011. After working in art direction for several years in Los Angeles, Andrea moved back to the pacific northwest and now calls Portland home. Her paintings are characterized by vibrant colors, dynamic shapes, natural elements, and bold compositions. She has designed and created visual works for companies like Conscious box, Corepower Yoga, and Fremantle Media. Her artwork is in many private residences throughout the US. Her other passions include traveling to faraway lands, baby goats, dancing in comfortable shoes, and wine consumption.
